See scan - almost perfect condition. Used just once for the torch run. Original Olympic torch from the summer Olympic games 1980 in Moscow, Soviet Russia / USSR. Great Russian item. Made out of aluminium alloy, grey and gold plated. Moscow logo and legend in red, 56.1cm (22-1/10") long. Designed by Boris Tuchin and his team. Runners carried the torch during the 30-day torch relay from Olympia, Greece through Bulgaria and Romania to Moscow, a distance of 4976 km. It is from those "extra" torches given to Bulgarian Olympic Committee during the Olympic Flame relay via Bulgaria. It has been proven in the past that an Olympic torch is one of the best investments in the entire Olympic memorabilia field. That means it is a good investment for anyone - Olympic lovers as well as collectors can enjoy this piece.
